B*A*K*E*R*S  D*O*Z*E*N

(1) You Might Be a Baby Boomer If…you’ve realized Irony is the opposite of Wrinkly…

(2) …but then again, “Senior Moments” can happen to “Sophomores” too!…ha ha!…

(3) Just shake it off, guys…when someone asks you’re wife if
she’s got her turkey and she says: Sure, that’s why I married him!

(4) …the the prices these days…a wing and a thigh cost an arm and a leg…

(5) Cool Daddy’s wife is up for a role on that new
reality series The Real Housewives of Palookaville…

(6) Basketball great Walt Hazzard recently died…you got a fine memory on you
if you remember back in the 1970s he was known as Mahdi Abdul-Rahman…

(7) …he converted to Sunni Islam, not the Black Muslim Nation of Islam, in 1971…
eventually went back to using his “Anglo” name when it became difficult for people
to remember his new name or even recognize who he was…in an unusual act of
selflessness, he called it “professional courtesy” to revert to Walt Hazzard…cool…

(8) Jackie Mason: At my age, It’s no longer a question
of staying healthy…it’s a question of finding a disease I like…

(9) …and also: I have enough money to live on…unless I have to buy something…

(10) Erma Bombeck calculated that Thanksgiving dinner takes 18 hours to prepare and
12 minutes to consume…and half-time lasts 12 minutes…not a coincidence, she thinks…

(11) Can’t confirm it, but slain Dutch ballplayer Greg Halman must have
been knighted by Netherlands Queen Beatrix…players from Aruba and
Curaçao are routinely so honored, even those who don’t make it to the Majors…

(12) Cheer up, kids…Santa considers you Nice till proven Naughty…

(13) If somebody says something really weird or strange, look at them for a moment…
then say, with as straight a face as you can, “I’ve waited my whole life to hear that”…

POUTINE-ON-A-STICK

In this day and age when so many comic strips aren’t funny or don’t even make sense…at least to many of us Baby Go-Boomers, I have to recommend Zits as consistently good, sometimes with an over-the-top fantasy approach. Still, you have to wonder who’s minding the store this week…Monday’s strip seems oblivious to the fact that Thursday is Thanksgiving…BTW, safe to assume Pop is a dentist. I though perhaps the creators Jerry Scott and Jim Borgman might be Canadians, and just lost track…but no, they’re from Indiana and Ohio respectively.

Then there’s today’s…me, I thought it was funny, but its bound to get complaints about the dangers of children “playing” in fridges…yeah, I know, but that’s how some people think. And remember the “smiling butt” episode, chronicled here? Careless. coincidental, or just unlucky? You make the call.
